A popular painting of Mt Baldy as seen from Claremont as a storm rolls in; Suzan says she saw this many times on her way up to her cabin after her evening Aikido class. Painted in shades of blue gray and punctuated by a golden moon peeking out behind the clouds, a poem - brushed in kana in an almost imperceptible amber pigment - is positioned near where her cabin was in the mountains. It is a poem about her friend the moon waking her on a dark mountain night. The poem contributes a gentleness to the overall stormy mountain scene. 
    
The inscription down the right side above her painted seal "Su Zan" says "art from the heart" a motto Suzan often uses on her Zen Brush pieces.
