Green Bamboo is a painting of new bamboo represented by the bright green matcha tea color. As it reaches upwards the bamboo seems to glow as it emerges into the sunlight from the shadows below. A departure from the classic black and white of Suzan's Zen brush paintings, it brings a brightness into the room along with the quietness of new bamboo. In addition to her artist seal in red, her dragon seal has been added to the upper left hand corner. Suzan's framer calls her "bamboo Susan" which she inscribed for the first time in kanji above her seal. 12 X 16 Print
