Mt Baldy Tree is a tree that Suzan saw everyday when she lived on the mountains, it was out her front door on the downside of the hill. There is stands as a sentinel marking the start of the wild, and dangerous canyon. In its beauty and grandeur, this tree formed the shomen to Aikido workshops; Suzan would tie a huge calligraphy around it with a red and white rope, a log that Suzan particularly liked was brought up by her son and grandson from a lower stream to sit at the base of this grand old tree. Sitting in front of this tree to read and paint was a favorite passtime.
        Most Minikins are small Zen brush watercolors that Suzan brushed en plein air at the beach, in the mountains, or in her backyard garden. Others are experimental watercolors. They are 5X7 prints matted in an 8X10 black or white mat, ready for framing in an 8X10 frame. Fun and inexpensive! They make nice gifts. This category will be constantly changing: watch this space!
